Terms of use

These terms govern the use of the Aithos agent registry and of its public API, operated by INNOESTATE HOLDINGS. Using the service means accepting them.

01Definitions

• Service: this site, the public registry and the API used to read and write entries.
• Entry: an agent card published in the registry, describing an agent and the domains attached to it.
• Declarant: the company or person publishing an entry.
• Domain control proof: the verification, through a DNS TXT record, that the declarant controls a given domain.

02Status of the service

The Service is under active development and is currently provided free of charge. It comes with no service level commitment. Features, formats and endpoints may change, and the Service may be interrupted or discontinued at any time. Anyone building on top of it should treat it as a service in progress.

03What an entry proves, and what it does not

An entry is not, and must not be presented as, proof of any of the following:

• the legal existence or legal identity of the declarant;
• the ownership of a company, a brand or a trademark;
• the security, reliability, compliance or quality of the agent described;
• an audit, a certification or an endorsement by Aithos of the agent or of its operator.

Anyone relying on the registry remains responsible for its own risk assessment and for the decisions taken on the basis of an entry.

04Publishing an entry

By publishing an entry, the declarant warrants that:

• it controls the domains listed, and is authorised to act for the organisation concerned;
• the information published is accurate and kept up to date;
• the content published is lawful and does not infringe the rights of any third party;
• the entry contains no personal data beyond, where needed, a professional contact address.

Write access is subject to technical limits, currently 20 write operations per 5 minutes. These limits may be adjusted to keep the registry available to everyone.

05Reading and reusing the registry

Read access is open and free. Entries are public technical data and may be read, cached and reused, including by automated agents, provided that the reuse does not misrepresent what an Aithos verification means, as described in section 03, and does not suggest a certification or partnership that does not exist.

06Correction, removal and disputes

A declarant may ask for its entry to be corrected or removed at any time by writing to mathieucolla@gmail.com.

INNOESTATE HOLDINGS may suspend or remove, without prior notice, any entry it has reasonable grounds to believe is inaccurate, fraudulent, unlawful or published by someone who has lost control of the domains concerned. A third party who believes an entry is wrongly published may report it to the same address.

07Availability, warranties and liability

The Service is provided on an as-is basis, without warranty of availability, continuity, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, INNOESTATE HOLDINGS is not liable for indirect damage, loss of data, loss of business or loss of profit arising from the use or unavailability of the Service, nor for decisions taken on the basis of an entry published by a third party. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under French law.

08Intellectual property

The Service, its software, its design and the Aithos name and logo belong to INNOESTATE HOLDINGS. Entries remain the data of their declarant, who grants INNOESTATE HOLDINGS the right to publish, reproduce and distribute them through the registry and its API for as long as the entry is published.

09Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the Service evolves. The date shown above is the date of the version in force. Continued use of the Service after an update means accepting the new version.

10Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the absence of an amicable settlement, any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Montpellier, France, subject to the mandatory rules protecting consumers.
